My art practice is an extension of my spiritualism and belief in the ability of objects and bodies to transmit energy, through material properties. Materials are chosen for function, performing their role of connection physically and metaphorically. Earth materials are insulators and frequency holders, partnered with conductive and semi-conductive materials, such as metals and silicon carbide. I am a myth builder that calls on sympathetic magic, prehistory, and scientific theories. My sculptures are based on research in ceremonial relics and antennae. The works are reliant on the viewer's awareness of the occult and their inherent body knowledge. I analyze sorcery and connectivity of universal energies by creating sculptural descriptions of how objects transfer energy using their attributes. My sculptures function as human-powered machines that offer a sacred mind space, a way to ground, and like an antenna, a way to launch energy into free space.
